Forget your thumbs and think about bums.
Ever played a game with your bum before? You'll soon get the chance with the forthcoming totally bonkers Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party on Wii. Using the Wii Balance Board gamers can take a load off and sit on the board whilst controlling the Rabbids as they take over your TV and introduce over 60 new mini games. From 4-player disco theatrics to navigating a mountain with the power of buttocks, the latest Rabbids game should have the post-pub brigade happy until the wee hours!
There are a variety ways of playing through the title. You can play many games with up to 4 players simultaneously. There's also a number of turn-based games that will allow you to pass the Wiimote around the room. Ubisoft has developed games that combine the use of the balance board with the Wiimote, so that friends can help or hinder the Balance Board player - which would again be great fun with a load of boisterous after-pub mates.
In the first outing, Rayman fought the Rabbids invasion and although there was a multiplayer element, it was really quite minor. In Raving Rabbids 2, the majority of the games were playable by up to 4 players simultaneously. The developers have really focused on the multiplayer experience, getting players to push and shove each other both on and off screen. With TV party, Ubisoft goes back to the roots of creating a showcase title for Wii controllers, and with the arrival of the balance board this game should take motion-based gameplay to a new level.
A release is expected in time for Christmas.
